One of the customers that I consult on a regular basis is a competitive logistics service provider (LSP) in the Netherlands. To keep a competitive edge they are always finding ways to improve their transportation management processes.

Visibility platforms provide customers with simplified processes and real-time data they can trust. They are also a great way for an LSP to expand their service portfolio and market reach.

In close collaboration with the customer I have built a foundation that enables them to integrate seamlessly with any Real-Time Transportation Visibility Platform. In this example, integration processes are kept simple by introducing an internal business language (green elements) that is responsible for the business logic and routing. This makes it easier for the customer to switch or update any of the involved systems (blue elements) without disruption. For example, if they were to change their TMS then only the TMS-facing connectors need to be updated. The existing integrations with visibility platforms remain untouched.
